We just wrapped up the Apron Roadshow for 2026, and it was great to see so many accountants and bookkeepers interested in using Apron to upgrade the way they work. Across Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester and London, attendees brought thought-provoking questions, and left with a deeper understanding of William AI, bill pay, payroll, and how to get clients earning rewards on payments.

Edinburgh: Keen to meet William AI
Attendees in Edinburgh were keen to learn more about William AI. Instead of the doom and gloom about AI taking over jobs, we were pleased to see enthusiasm for AI, and William in particular, as a way for firms to increase capacity without increasing overheads.
If you’re not yet familiar with William, it’s our AI bookkeeping agent that can search for documents in emails, before extracting, categorising, and publishing, all autonomously.

Birmingham: Upskilling and practice pricing
Birmingham was a lively one, with so many attendees interested in learning how to use William AI to upskill team members, and how to address pricing structures when introducing AI as a service.

Manchester: Mileage reimbursements in Apron
A huge thank you to everyone who came out in Manchester, on what was one of the hottest days of the year. In addition to interest in rewards, attendees were keen to hear about a recent update to our reimbursements feature.
Did you know that you can now make mileage claims through Apron? All you need to do is enter the start and end details of your journey, and Apron figures out the rate for you.

London: Improving client collaboration with AI

It was also heartening to hear conversations about how firms are excited to use AI to improve collaboration with clients. Specifically, by having AI handle those repetitive tasks that should be able to run themselves.
